Company Description: Woku.com is a site from the same management team from 139.com, a mobile blog service provider. 139 was bought by China Mobile early this year and the team wasted no time getting Woku up and running as a mobile entertainment portal. There are two main concepts: A Web 2.0 personal page service accessible through the PC and access and management of personal pages via mobile phones. The site is popular among younger users and it has enjoyed a very steady rise in traffic since launching in February of this year. There was news that Woku had raised 5M USD in April but the identity of the investor is unknown. It is a basic business but with a management team already proven successful and ascending traffic numbers this may be one to keep an eye on.
